Joining & getting started
Who can join?
Everyone. YouTubers, streamers, TikTok creators, tutorial writers, community owners, students, studios. No follower minimum, no application review, free. Sign up in the Lemon Squeezy affiliate hub and your link works immediately.
How long does signing up take?
About a minute. Email, password, confirm, and your personal link is live. There is no queue, no interview and nobody checks your audience size first.
Do I need to own Numivo to promote it?
No. The Free tier is enough to show the core tools on camera, and creators who publish regularly can ask us for review access to the paid tools through Discord or support. Buying through your own link is not commissionable.
Do I need a registered business?
Not to join. Whether your commission counts as business income depends on where you live and how much you earn. In Germany, for example, regular affiliate income normally needs a trade registration. Check with your local tax office or an accountant; we cannot give tax advice.
Commission & earnings
How much do I earn per sale?
30 % of what the customer actually pays. On current prices that is €25.17 for a Pro annual plan and €89.97 for Studio annual, or €2.52 and €9.00 on the monthly plans, for every month they stay. Lifetime licences sit outside the program and earn no commission.
Do renewals really pay the same 30 %?
Yes. The rate never drops; a renewal pays exactly the same 30 % as the first order. The only limit is time: commissions run for a maximum of 24 months per customer, counted from their first purchase.
How exactly does the 24-month window work?
It starts with that customer's first payment and runs for two years. Everything they pay inside it earns you 30 %: monthly charges, annual renewals, upgrades. After 24 months commissions for that customer end, even if they stay subscribed.
What if someone upgrades from Pro to Studio?
You earn 30 % of the higher amount from then on. Upgrades, extra seats and plan switches all count as payments from your referred customer while the 24-month window is open.
Payouts, tax & refunds
When and how do I get paid?
Monthly via PayPal, handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. A commission becomes payable once that sale has cleared its 14-day money-back window, so nothing gets clawed back after it reaches you.
Is there a minimum payout amount?
There is no threshold you have to save up to. Cleared commission goes out in the next monthly run. The exact schedule and your full payout history are in the affiliate dashboard.
Do I have to pay tax on my commission?
Two different taxes, so it is worth separating them. The VAT or sales tax on the customer's purchase is collected and paid by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record, and that never reaches you. Your commission, on the other hand, is your own income and you declare it wherever you live; regular earnings may also require a business registration. Lemon Squeezy documents every payout for your records, and may ask you for a tax form depending on your country. We are not permitted to advise on your specific situation, so ask your tax office or an accountant.
What happens if a customer asks for a refund?
That commission simply never becomes payable, because it is held during the 14-day money-back window. Money already paid out to you is not reclaimed afterwards.
Tracking & attribution
What if someone clicks today and buys in three weeks?
Still yours. The cookie lasts 30 days, so a viewer can start on the Free tier, think it over and upgrade later, and the sale is still credited to you.
What if two affiliates referred the same person?
The most recent click wins. If your link was the last one they clicked before buying, the commission is yours. The same rule protects you in the other direction.
Does tracking work if someone blocks cookies?
Mostly. Attribution is cookie-based, so a visitor who blocks or clears everything can slip through; that is true of every affiliate program. Sending people straight to your link instead of through extra redirects and shorteners keeps the loss small.
Promotion & rules
What kind of promotion is allowed?
Anything that is honestly yours: videos, streams, tutorials, blog posts, newsletters, courses, your Discord. Show what the tool really does. Overselling costs you the trust that makes this work in the first place.
Can I run ads on the Numivo brand name?
No. Bidding on "Numivo" and close variants in search ads is not allowed because it competes with our own listings and buys clicks we already earned. Ads on your own content and on generic topic keywords are fine.
Can I use coupon or deal sites?
Coupon-hijacking and cashback listings that catch people at the checkout are not eligible. There is no public coupon code to post anyway. Any discount is priced in directly.
Do I have to disclose that it is an affiliate link?
Yes, and please do. Most platforms require it and so does advertising law in the EU, the UK and the US. A plain line like "affiliate link: I earn a commission if you buy" is enough, and audiences respect it.
